Monetization

Inauthentic content (YouTube)

Definition

YouTube's monetization term (renamed from 'repetitious content' in July 2025) for repetitive or mass-produced videos that aren't eligible to earn money.

Inauthentic content is how YouTube's Partner Program policies describe content that is repetitive or mass-produced — near-identical videos, or generic templates that give the impression of mass production. It is not monetizable. The same page covers reused content: repurposing others' material without significant original commentary or changes (YPP policies).

AI isn't the issue; sameness is. SceneGen runs a heuristic monetization safety check for duplicate scripts, templated titles and reused visuals before you publish — guidance, not a guarantee. Read YouTube's inauthentic content policy and AI videos.
